A Resource for Career Management
4. CONSIDERING YOUR EDGE:
Are you getting excited? You're getting so close now. One of the exercises that I've used in the past that proved to be very helpful -- over and over again -- was THE LIST.
Take a piece of paper and fold it in half. You have two columns now. In the left column, list your priorities for your next employment contribution. In the right column, describe what you know about the employer that suggests there might be a good fit for what they need.
Keep the prioritized list in your pocket, or purse.
As new information or ideas come to you, prioritize again to see how they fit among your top ten.
