Gifts for the Journey

Welcome to the companion website for Gifts for the Journey, a "must" book for career changers, of all ages and any field, who want to find meaningful work. It includes screened websites for every stage of the career development and job search process.

Gifts for the Journey is a trademark name for a program and publication of Mennonite Central Committee's Employment Development department. The word "gifts" refers to the skills, abilities, talents, personality preferences, temperament and character that we bring to the world. The word "journey" refers to the choices we make in following our Divine path and giving expression to the gifts and talents we have.

A faith-based workbook, Gifts for the Journey, is available to the unemployed (or underemployed) who desire to use more of their gifts in the work they do. Parts One to Six on this website is a computer-based version for discerning next steps and offers support along the way.
